On 12 March 2014 the President of Mexico adopted a Decree approving the withdrawal of the Reservation made by Mexico on 2002 regarding the Inter-American Convention on Enforced Disappearances. The Reservation was made to avoid members of Mexican armed forces being judged in front of civilian courts for acts of enforced disappearances.
