Very recently a new company called Trail Records from New York re-released the album with a brand new cover design, re-mastering, a new version of 'Baroque', and a conceptual sequence of the songs. Every song is differing, provided with other facets. Additionally they are interspersing some native oriental elements here and there. It's surely correct to say that Siddhartha have a dominant spacey and psychedelic fundament. The long tracks are the album's highlights in any case - floating with some jam character. You will detect a lot of synthesizer patterns, echoing guitars and some Pink Floyd leanings.

Having inspired their name from novel of Hermann Hesse,SIDDHARTHA came together in Istambul,Turkey. The band started their journey in 1993.Reflecting the transitional period of the 90's with aspiration to the 70's sounds,SIDDHARTHA has become one of the new experimental urban bands of Istambul, and associated with psychedelic rock in Turkey.SIDDHARTHA has melt different rock traditions and diverse scale from classical music to oriental with electronic influences.Their sound consists of mainly instrumental and english spoken vocals. The first CD by a Turkish band in my music collection is a beautiful progressive rock artefact from 1998 recorded in Istanbul. Belying its title and tranquil cover art, Trip to Innerself is no contemplative, navel-gazing brain exercise but an exotic. Psychedelic satori of searing guitar, sinewy bass and steadfast percussion.

Piano and synths - plus hypnotic vocals of both genders - round out the clear, uncluttered and expansive sound, creating echoes of Tai Phong and 80s King Crimson whipped together in a dervish swirl of Doors, Ozrics, Floyd and much more. Good music knows no borders - nor should your collection.
