Logitech Momo Racing Wheel Settings F1 2012
Posted : admin On 10.01.2020After playing F1 2012 for a few hours, I noticed a huge drop in steering sensitivity all of a sudden (DFGT). The temporary fix, after trying a bunch of different things is to go back to wheel options and re-select driving force gt (driving controls/control profile), then remap any custom button assignments. It seems like it was triggered when I started the season challenge in career mode.Note: you'll probably also want to change the default deadzone from 4 to 1 or 0. Another thing that seems to be fixing problems is to use the override input device setting and choose steering wheel. May not be of assistance to any of the above posters, but it may be for future readers.found the below info in a read me file in the games directory -FORCE FEEDBACK AND STEERING WHEEL SETUPIf you have a steering wheel, the following options are available in the F1 2012 controller setup screen.Dead ZoneThis setting can be used to create a dead area around the centre of the wheel.
If you feel the steering is too twitchy, increase this setting to increase the size of the dead zone. Note that a higher Linearity value (see below) may give a more desirable effect than increasing the dead zone, so consider trying that before increasing the dead zone.SaturationThis alters the amount that you have to turn the wheel to make the car turn. Increase this if you feel the steering is too sensitive.

Reduce this if you feel that you have to move the wheel too much to get around the corners.LinearityThis dampens the information received from the inputs made upon the wheel and what you see in-game. Increase this if you are finding steering too responsive.
Decrease this if you feel the steering is too sloppy. As well as the above settings, the following force feedback wheel options are available.Force Feedback StrengthThe overall strength of force feedback. Caution: setting this value too high may cause oscillation and an unrealistic feel to the force feedback.Force Feedback WeightHigher values make the force feedback feel 'tighter' - only small changes in wheel orientation are required to cause large forces. This increases the perceived strength, but removes some of the subtlety and smoothness.Effects StrengthThe amount of force feedback from crashes, rumble strips, and other environmental effects.
The Saturation setting is inverted when using the driving force GT.If I Change from 0 to 25% the wheel gets faster.Codemaster are producing racing games that are unplayable with wheels, lol:-)Edit: Changed the ingame setting to override Wheel and custom setting. Changed in the Custom-Settings everything to zero. Then I switched to the systemsettings from Windows and changed the gamepad options to dont allow the game to change the settings and changed the useable Radius to 320°. The forcefeedback is not correctly anymore, but it's okay. G25, game keeps losing forcefeedback and then drops all the wheel settings. The sensitivity loss is because its treating wheel input as if it were keyboard input when its in a 'custom' profile (drive it with the keyboard and you'll see what I mean).
FFB settings can't be altered and the deadzone is set to 0 but it isn't reading it (the effect is equal to about 45+ setting). Its a bit hard to explain but it is reading the movement of the wheel at this point rather than its actual position.Bottom line: As soon as you edit the settings for a FFB wheel and make a custom profile, it doesn't treat it as a wheel input profile. Default or nothing and even the default fails intermittently (drops the input driver?). A FFB reset function would helps as in rFactor 2.
