Students will be required to obtain a visa to study in Chile. This may require a personal appearance at the Chilean consulate with jurisdiction over the student's home state in order to apply for a visa. In many cases this will require transportation to and a hotel stay in the appropriate city. Students should take these expenses and time commitments into account when applying for this program. Students should also be aware that the visa process will require surrendering their passports for a period of up to eight weeks, during which time students will not be able to travel outside of the United States.Students will be required to obtain an FBI background check and a certificate of good health from a local doctor.
