VFR helper toolThis utility is now part of the splitter package. As there are no tools to process/reencode VFR Matroska files, I've written a small utility to ease such processing.mkv2vfr extracts all video frames from Matroska to a CFR AVI file and a timecode file. You can extract video to avi, process it with any apps and mux back to matroska using a timecode file if youdidn't add/remove frames. If you changed the frames you'd need to edit the timecode file by hand. This is the same tool that I've made long ago under the name of mprel.exe. If you use that you can upgrade tothis new version as the underlying core matroska parser received quite a few bug fixes and improvementsin the meantime. FeaturesSupported containers:. MP4.

AVI. OGG/OGM.

MPEG TSSupport for almost all Matroska elements is implemented in the core parser library.

Since changing over from an X6 1090T and an Asus Crosshair IV Formula MPC has not worked rightIt plays all content fine but with no sound. While MPC is playing music or a video, If i change the default sound device in windows to my headset i hear the sound on my headset then set it back to my speakers and its working fine now. If i pause the video/audio and play again there is no sound again and i have to repeat the same steps to get the sound back.If i unplug my headset i still get no sound and no matter what i set the default device to in windows (HDMI, Optical etc) and then back to my speakers i cant get any sound. Headset back in and the same steps work fine.I have re-installed MPC and all drivers for my sound card and headset but nothing has fixed this rather odd issue.Im hoping some one here has a solution to this. Im using VLC atm and i cant stand the program. MPC-HC also has many different builds, the latest MPC-HC revision is 3346 (currently, as this post is written). This is 3346 revisions in the MPC-HC branch, not from the beginning of MPC. ^ As a matter of fact, the k-lite codec packs are very highly recommended. I've been using them for almost two years already.Everything you've just summed up is already in them so no need to download stuff separately. Also, nightly builds are beta builds (test versions) which often turn out to have bugs in them so to avoid problems, the k-lite codec pack updates only change stuff after it's all been properly tested first. The k-lite mega codec pack installer is brilliant because it lets you manually select what you need and don't need.

All you have to do to install / remove stuff is run the installer once more. It keeps your collection of codecs free from possible installation errors as well as easy to maintain. It doesn't blindly change the versions of stuff that you've already previously installed, instead it asks you politely what it is you want before continuing the install. It doesn't reset any of your settings to their default without asking you first, either.I use AC3Filter 1.63b also, it's included in the codec pack (FFDshow is something I barely use anymore nowadays, just for XviD video decoding mostly - but it's also included). For x264 video I use CoreAVC, which isn't included because you have to pay for it but it only supports Nvidia CUDA and not ATI Stream so no need to buy it unless you're on Nvidia (when LAV CUVID doesn't work for you). Just checked out klite, seems different than it used to but there are a few key points:- There is no official (technically) MPC-HC or FFDshow, so although the links I gave may be for the latest builds in most cases it doesn't mean they are any less stable - if you have issues plenty of other versions there to choose from.
